My Gift of Writing.

My gift of writing is not my own, It's Gods' gift that He trusted to me. So when I write it's not me speaking, but it is God. I just add my own flavor to it, which in turn gives my writing, a personality...my personality.

Can Anything Good come out of Hip-Hop?? (v.2)

Since I'm in the blog business now, I have been perusing other blogs sites, just to get an idea of what I don't want my blog to look like, or be about. And I must say, unsuprisedly, many of the latest blog sites are the same, so much variety, so many topics or themes to choose from. but yet many are all the same. I think God for giving me this idea, and opportunity to share my unique thoughts and views. I'm human like you are, and yes I love shopping, yes I love fashion, yes I want to be rich and famous. But that isn't my purpose for starting this blog.
When we survey the landscape of our society, from the internet to reality tv shows. I feel like there isn't enough realness or substance around today. I believe you can relate to this, nowadays so much gossip and rumors circulating the television or radio till' it seems like you can't distinguish the lies from the truth.
I observed the things that are being said on FB and Twitter, and when I consider everything people are doing on youtube. It seems as if everybody got the same ambition to be a star- music star, tv star, or maybe it's just me. I mean everybody tryna strike it rich, wanting to be popular. It's scary because I know thats not our true purpose for existing.
Material things are fine, money is fine, fame is fine, I want those things too. But if you are looking for fullfillment, satisfaction, or even security from those things. Then you ain't gone get it. You are foolish to believe that lyfe is only about being a star, by making a fool of yourself. It's very scary the kind of stuff people will do for money. Where is your intregrity? Where is your morality? Where is your self-respect? Young girls taking cellphone pictures, completely naked showing ass and titties, sending them across twitter and myspace, but then got the nerves to ask for some respect, are you serious? GET REAL! When you walk around dressed like a hoe, you gone be treated like one.  Don't you know your body is the Lords' temple, where is your self-respect? Young boys these days, filling there heads with Lil Wayne and Jay-Z, calling girls hoes and bitches, looking to smash any girl that walk his way. Where is your self-control? We want our people to be better, but we are allowing Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj to teach them. Isn't it funny we talk about advancing as a people, but we aren't putting in the work, positive work to make it happen. Why is it that our society is driven by sex, and money. What is it about these things that are so appealing to the eye? Why is sex such a popular subject, that people rap about it, and conversate about it, without any real meaning attached to it? Why must we be so degrading, and treat our bodies so badly. And act the way we do, and talk to one another the way we do? Why do we as men measure our masculinity solely upon how many women we screw? Who taught us to think this way?
Many people want to debate about the lyrical content of rap music, but there is no standard!

Change your focus, then you'll have a different perspective about life.

This Just In!!!

Tiger Woods and the Problem I have with America!

Okay, I understand that the news is going to be the news, and gossipers are going to get paid to gossip! That's how they make there money. But, I'm growing tired of people who can point the 'holier then thou'  finger at other people, without first pointing it at themselves. I asked this question on twitter, 'what does Tiger Woods sex life have to do with him being a great golf athlete? And how is this suppose to 'damage' his career?
In my personal opinion I don't believe the two relate in any way.  His career as a golfer is what it is (he's a billionaire, a pro athlete, at the top of his game), and his sex life is what it is (he's married with 2 kids, he cheated on his wife, and obviously he loves SEX). Now if the story was perhaps, Tiger Woods, had sex with the PGA President, and that's how he won all those championships then I'd understand. But can we give this man a break! Our country loves to see succesful people, fall to the wayside or crumble under scrutiny. Our country is driven by this insatiable hunger to uncover dirt on celebrities. It's amazing how the folk who will celebrate you, and cheer and RA-RA with you one minute, can turn around and be the same one's who humiliate and embarrass you the next. But my question to you is, what have you done in your private moments, that qualify you to be under the radar as is Tiger Woods, but just hasn't come to the light yet? While you are looking down your noses at Tiger Woods, what kind of skeletons do you have hidden in the deep cracks and corners of your closet, that others haven't exposed?
While your mess hasn't been exposed, and while the sheets haven't been pulled back on your issues. You better think God for His Grace! Who gave you the right to play God, or even cast judgement on another human. What political or social-analytical party gave you the freedom, to see yourself as superior over your equal, to call them everything but a human. Yes! He cheated on his wife. Yes! He was a whore. Yes! He is a adulterer. But who are you to call him out on those things. We oughta start doing some self-scrutiny on our ownselves, let's start telling our own deep dark secrets. Last I checked, God is still on His throne. Be careful the measures you go to, to expose another human, be careful of the lies, or rumors your willing to spread about another, at the expense of keeping yourself looking good. For the same measure you use to do those things against others. Is the same measure God will use on you!
He Apologized, now let Him live!!

Can Anything Good Come Out of HIP-HOP??

I believe my peers are the most visually gratifying generation yet to be birth in the earth. By this I mean we are both satisfied & captivated by what we see. From your time of birth, up to now, media and hip-hop has had a deep impact on your lyfe, and a great effect on the decisions you make. I mean think about it, we base our fashion trends, and hairstyles based upon what we see the latest rapper or singer rockin'.  We base our education or career goals based off what others in our culture are pursuing. And I include myself in this, because I have been guilty of it plenty of times. Think about it, why are most of our friends trying to be models, or singers, or rappers?? Because it's the current trend!!! Money, fame, and popularity is obviously what everybody is after.
You want to be a trendsetter? You want to be a trailblazer? How about going against what the culture says is cool, or hip! Rather you want to admit it or not the media, and the things around us, have a great impact on what we do, how we treat one another, and how we think about each other, most importantly ourselves. Where did this self-centered, conceited attitude come from in our generation? Who hip'd you to believe you were fly, and the hottest thing walking around? You wake up everyday, turn your swag on. Just to impress people. When deep down inside your struggling. You don't view yourself as beautiful according to God's standard. But, instead, according to the standards of society. You don't think you fit the bill of young, fly, and flashy, so you go out and buy 300 dollar True Religion jeans, and every pair of Creative Rec shoes just to fit in.
I'm trying to get you to see, it ain't got to be this way for you. Forget what everybody else does, forget what image of hip-hop say you ought to portray. Just be you, be comfortable with who you are. Love yourself.

Give Soulja Boy His Credit

Unlike most writers, I continue to this day to support Soulja boy not because he a rapper, or a maturing lyricist. I support him because dude is really cool, and down-2-earth in person. even though his head is a lil big at times. I actually had the honor to meet him last year in ATL, and dude approached me just as cool, and laid-back, and in that moment my respect for him grew.. Many of us criticize the man for everything because we watched his career grow.. I saw this video today & said to myself..why are these niggas fuckin with Waka Flaka & not Soulja Boy? When I see Soulja Boy, I see somebody who is just as determined, and who's still is just as unique to be recognized as one of our futures most notable MC's.
To me its all ignorance.. Soulja Boy is arguably very underrated in this game for his lyrical contents & flow.. but again we praise bullshit rappers all the time that don't display an original talent (young money) or obvious humility at all..
I'm just sayin... be real, If Soulja Boy just came in the game grown the way he is now & we never knew him before.. Half of us would be fuckin with em cause he sound better than most..The problem with rappers who come in the game young such as bow wow, or soulja boy is we remember them for who they were as teenagers, and fail to recognize them for who they're growing to be.

Pray for our President

I have a problem with people saying what our President is not doing. He is only 1 man, he isn't superman. And as much as he may have the authority to run this country.
God is still in control, and God is still the ultimate authority. If things don't get done, if issues aren't resolved, if there's no solution to our countries economic problems. It's easy to get mad @ who's in charge. But remember God is still in control.
Keep our President in prayer.
You don't understand the magnitude of his responsibilities, nor the weight that rest on his shoulders everyday he wakes up. Being a President, is not about popularity, fame, or glamour. Being President is a job, and if you think you have it hard, working that 9-5 you do. Understand this at the end of the day you have a home to go on to. You can sleep carelessly, with no major worries. You have the choice to walk away from it if you aren't happy.
But this man, our President, Barack Obama. Sworn into oath that he would do his best to bring change to our nation. He can only do so much. Pray for him. Pray for his family. Pray for our control.

There is power in your prayers.

Everything I Am.

That Chair represents your lyfe. Void, Empty and useless.
Until somebody comes and sits in the chair, it's existence has no purpose. You don't think that chair isn't a important apart of your lyfe, because you do not benefit directly from it's purpose. That chair was not made to have low self-esteem, because it doesn't see itself as useful as another chair. That chair doesn't battle with depression because it feels the creator of the chair didn't make it high enough, or a different color.

That chair represents me, that chair is you. Like that chair the voids in your lyfe will never be filled with what you put in it. Be it money, sex, a boyfriend or gurlfriend, smoking dro, clothes, the latest pair of jays, a music career, popularity, or fame. Why? because the only real thing designed to fill that void is God. As far-fetched as it sounds, it's the TRUTH. You may think that your lyfe isn't empty. But it is, no matter how many friends you surround yourself with, no matter how many tattoos you get. Those tattoos will never cover the void of your realities.
You wana talk about being REAL! Let's be REAL!How do you really feel about yourself? Do you really even like yourself? Do you like the image you see in the mirror called you? How many days do you settle to DO THINGS WITH your 'friends' that are not even apart of your character?  Until you realize you need God in your lyfe, then your lyfe will be empty and useless. I don't care how popular you are, I don't care how attractive you think you are. The TRUTH is your lyfe will never have any significant purpose, or value until you realize that you need God. After all the 'fronting' and faking you may do in a day, you still have to go home, and face the reality that you are nobody, and this world can care less about your existence. Your friends will mourn and lament at your funeral. But the memories of you will pass like dust in the air, because you never served your true meaning for existing,

God is waiting and wanting to come and sit in the chair, called your heart.
Y don't you let Him in?

Beyonce 'SUGA MAMA' The Experience

TRUTH HURTS.

If you had to rate your honesty on a scale of 1-10, whether it be with others, about your lyfe, or with yourself. What number would u choose? Before I would have been a TWO, but lately I've been a SIX. Far from where I've come, but not as close as I would like to be. What kind of picture of yourself do u paint for your friends or associates, versus who you really are? Do you put on the persona that you got yourself together, when in actuality, your as scattered as far as the east is from the west. Or do you paint the kinda picture for them that suggest that you've never made any bad decisions in your lyfe, that you still haven't forgiven yourself for.
Who are you? REALLY. Do your friends or family really know you? Do they know you really DON'T like yourself because of weight problems? Do they really know what makes your DIKK stand up is the site of another dude. Do they really know your a GURL that often imagines yourself being in love with ANOTHER GURL Do they really know you have low self-esteem because you think you are not tall enuff, or light-skinned enuff? Do they really know the reason you are so 'attached' to them is because your scared of being alone, because there are SPIRITS that come and bother you. Spirits of suicide, spirits of mental abuse, NASTY SPIRITS of perversion, porn, and masturbation. I know the feeling of being with another guy, not because I really liked him. But because I had a desire to be wanted, and love.

It's time to start letting God love you unconditionally for who you are. He has a love that doesn't judge, a love that has no hidden motives, a love that doesn't hold grudges. God has a love that doesn't come to cause heartbreak and pain. But a love that comes to HEAL and RESTORE. It's time to start confronting the person in the mirror. It's time for you to start being honest about who you are, and open about the problems you deal with. Depression, and misery come as a result of people, not standing up to issues in themselves they haven't accepted, and are afraid to stare face to face with. God loves you just the way you are. Your perfect in His eyes, so why not live your lyfe as if your a flawless being.

UnClutter Your Lyfe!!!!!!!!

Unclutter your Lyfe for Growth.
Today I spent the most part of my day helping a friend clean his house of unnecessary stuff, mostly junk and papers that he had been holding on to for quite some time. In the process, I noticed that he was holding on to alot of things that his friends had left over, as a result of staying with him for a while, and never returned to claim their stuff. Lesson 1; stop being a open waste can for people to dump their issues, their problems, and their baggage on you to manage or deal with. Stop letting sorry people come in and out of your lyfe, and take from you, and leave you more incomplete then when they met you. IT'S TIME TO SAY ENUFF OF THIS ISH!! Entering the New Year 2010, I made up my mind I wasn't going to hold on to anything from the previous year, you don't put new wine in old wineskins!!! You don't use old keys to a door of a BRAND NEW house. So today we were cleaning, and I noticed in the kitchen sink were dishes that he hadn't even dirty up. But his friends used those dishes, and didnt take the time to clean up after themselves. Lesson 2; stop allowing people to take advantage of your kindness, because they will use your kindness as a doormat, and walk ALL OVER YOU! Stop being a punk, and stand up for yourself. This year make a decision to take back your lyfe, your house, your space, and your finances. By ridding yourself of deadweight, i.e., friends, things, old environments, and old habits. And watch how clear your mind, and lyfe will be to work on you, your dreams, your career, your destiny, your relationship with God, and your purpose.

I am Happy.

WoW!  Goodbye past! Goodbye Misery! Goodbye depression! I found a new set of friends, there names are, happiness, peace, and fulfillment! I've gotten rid of that MONSTER-IN-LAW call stagnation. I've released fear, and I'm going after everything God has for me. I refuse to live below my potential another day, let alone another year. I can honestly say, I'm happy with where my lyfe is right now, because I'm making progress. The mystery of tomorrow is a good one, because I know that God has worked it out in my favor. I know longer count the times I fall short, but now I count each step toward progress. So hello happiness! My desire is to know you, i've grown tired of my misery. I want to experience you in your fullness. Now I realize that lyfe doesn't have to be tough, if I do it Gods' way.

I AM

My photo
I'm just a average individual, but my mind is far from average. I thank God for giving me the gift of writing. And I thank Him for giving me this platform to share my gift with the world. With all the crazy things going on in my lyfe, my writing is the only thing that makes me whole.
